Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

Divorce pending

I posted a question back in Feb, 2006..Did he voilate a restraining order...and was only concerned with that issue at the time. I have my divorce hearing in July..we have no children together, small amount of escrow 39,000.00 and only I have retirement. I could no longer afford my attorney so I let her go...but I owe her 4,000 from equity. When we got married, it was my 2nd his 1st..it was bad from day one..very possessive...harsh..I have letters that my son wrote to his father regarding anger...hitting...and etc..well, I put the down payment of our house 25,000.00 and he only walked in with his vehicle and debt..now he wants 1/2 my retirment...half of the escrow...and me to cover his health insurance and about 4,000 for help in paying his bills until December. I walked out with over 25,000 in debt..he used my credit cards (I had a 2nd card in his name) and I am pretty much just surviving working 2 jobs...what should I do...just agree to everything and work it all out or fight for my 25,000.00 back? Please help....

Re: Divorce pending

You should absolutely make the court aware that you put the down-payment on the home, it should be a factor (in dividing the assets). Make sure you provide the proof to your husband's attorney and the court. Good luck!
