Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

Grandchild living with grandparents

My son and his former girlfriend had a child in May. The girlfriend and the baby moved in with my husband and I in August and are not paying any expenses. The ex-girlfriend works and is saving to move out with the baby by Spring time. My son insists that since they are living with his parents he does not have to pay any child support. Is this correct?

Re: Grandchild living with grandparents

Only the court can address who should pay child support and who should not. Has this matter been addressed by the court?
