Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire
My husband wants me out, says he owns everything. Can he do this? I stayed home with my daughter and worked part time. I quit my full time job to do this. Now he is saying he has paid for everything and he makes all the rules now and if I don't like it I can leave. I have nothing, own nothing. This stems from his hatred of my children. They have never gotten along. Now one has moved out and one will be moving. He wants "rent" from us.

The short answer is, "no." New Hampshire provides for a equitable division of assets and liabilities. The court often encounters a situation where one spouse works and the other stays home. It's all considered "marital assets." There are a number of factors that go into determining a fair an equitable division of assets and liabilities and the development of an appropriate Parenting Plan for the benefit of the children. These factors are best handled with the assitance of an experienced attorney who can advise you as to the specifics of your case.
I urge caution in your situation as any violent or hostile acts toward each other may result in emergency orders from the court to separate the parties. This often causes significant harm to settlement potential and increases emotional tension.
