Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

Jurisdiction Change NH - UT

Currently Jurisdiction is with NH, My children currently reside with me in UT and have since 1992. My daughter recently disclosed that her father has sexually abused her for years during vistitation in both states, investigation is in process in both states. I just got a protective order and hear that I need to modify custody/visitation which was established NH. I also want the jurisdiction changed from NH to Utah and I am not sure if and how this is done. Can this be done pro se and can NH deny my request?

Re: Jurisdiction Change NH - UT

The Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act gives jurisdiction to the state where the children have resided for more than 6 months --- Utah. You can file your request for modification here. Obtain a certified or conformed copy of the order which you are going to modify from NH. Then file your action in the County where you live here in Utah.
