Legal Question in Family Law in New Hampshire

not paying child support

my x is receiving SSI. He is working under the table. Hasn't pd in 5yrs. DCSS can't get involved. judge found him in contempt, ordered him to pay DCSS. If the judge read our file she would have known that DCSS can't help. What is wrong with this situation? Why does he get away with not paying? Should the judge be penalized?

Re: not paying child support

If you can prove he is working, you can have him held in contempt and possibly jailed. Moreover, the judge in your current case can hold him in contempt if he doies not pay. DCSS may not be able to TAKE money from him, but there is no reason he cannot pay it to them. Get a lawyer.
