Removing my name from divorce papers

I was named in someone's divorce papers. The papers were filed with the divorce reason of adultery. Nothing was ever proven. In fact the man has recently moved back home and is reconciling with the wife. The wife does not want to recind the paperwork yet. She has continued it indefinitely with the NH courts. How can I get my name removed from these divorce papers? She has agreed that adultery was not the cause of the break up in the temporary stipulation, but yet doesn't want to recind the paperwork just in case.

Unfortunately, even if the pair reconcile, the court papers will remain on record with the court, and available for public inspection. These papers are never deleted, even after the passage of time the documents will be scanned to microfilm and the actual, physical documents will be sent to a document center for storage.

And it doesn't make any difference whether the divorce action proceeds or stops here, or whether it's continued. It's unfortunate but once a document is filed with the court it cannot be "un-filed."

The exception is having a court case or record sealed, which I believe can only be done at the request of one or both of the parties. And sealing a court record is not an easy thing to do.
