Short Term Marriage

Why are the laws saying one thing and the judge does another? I was married for a short time and lost out on everything. Everything I came into the marriage with I lost. This man forged my name to mortgages. I have written to state reps and still have gotten not gotten any answers as to why or how could this happen?
