Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Hampshire

Collecting money from a freind

I loaned a freind $7000.00 in cash. We had a verbal agreement that he would pay it back as soon as he could. After an argument he stated he didn't owe me a thing so how do I get him to give me back my money?

You will need to file a lawsuit in district court. The amount owed is more than small claims. You will need to gather as much proof as possible. Do you have a cancelled check? Do you have a bank withdrawal for cash at the time of the loan? Do you have anything in writing as evidence of a loan? Do you have any witnesses to the transaction?

Does the person have the money or other assets to pay you back if you win in Court?
