Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Hampshire
Small Claims Court
I have filed a suit in small claims court. I recieved a letter stating the date for the hearing on merits. What is a hearing on merits? Is that where the case is decided or just to see if the law suit has merit? Should I bring witnesses to it?

A hearing on the merits is the trial. Bring witnesses and all documentation. Keep it simple and to the point.

This is the big one, the equivalent of a trial. Have all your evidence (documents, witnesses, photos, etc.) ready at that date and time and place. Good luck.
