Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Hampshire

Does this negate my requirement to the lease?

I rent an apartment in NH. We have had water seaping in through our sliding glass door in the living room for over a year when it rains or snow melts. The water damage to the carpets has never been addressed by the property managers. Last week the water leak spread over our livingroom ceiling covering an area aprox. 8x8 feet covering our livingroom and contents with water. The carpet is still wet 6 days later, they have not provided equipment to dry it out and my livingroomm table has been destroyed. Major repairs will need to be made to our ceiling and the building itself, which will require our furniture out. We are not interested in another unit within the complex as they will not be able to provide the 2 bdrm deluxe we currently rent, and we require a ground floor due to my walking disability. Does this negate my requirement to the lease?
