Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New Hampshire

Never paid rent, mobile home on my property

tenant lived on our property not paying for 15 years, kept saying couldn't financially, said he would pay taxes for septic,$1,600 for 15 years, finally asked him to leave as his kids were grown and gone and the place was getting dumpy and he wasn't keeping it clean up there, said he would leave us the moble home for payment of rent (bank has notorized copy stating he would pay $100 a month rent). He moved (14days ago)left mobile now he calls us and claims he has someone that wants to buy it. He still owes on it for another year but claimed he would continue to make the mortgage payment and sign the title over to us once it was paid off. Do we have a leg to stand on and can we go for back payment or is the statue of limitation a part of this. thank you, Terri

Re: Never paid rent, mobile home on my property

Need to see notarized statement. You should also send him (certified mail) confirmation of understanding re: rent and abandonment of mobile home.

THen proceed to enforce your obligations and evict him if necessary.

Call or e-mail if you wish my legal assistance.
