Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire

Am I allowed as a landlord to change or update a lease when renewing a lease for another year with the tenant? My tenant is refusing to sign the new lease as I made 2 small additions to the lease regarding items that belong to me. They are also saying I should pay for sanding of the driveway by a professional sander and as a private residence, I feel that is up to them if the want a truck to come sand the driveway.. They are also making a big deal about me adding my adult son as manager on the lease.. I said that was in case something happened to me and for my protection.... can you advise? thank you. Jane

Unless your previous lease made some other promise, you can set almost any terms you want for the new lease as long as they are legal and not against public policy.

You can require that the tenant shovel and plow and you can appoint anyone you want as manager.
