Changing a deed

I own a home, (the mortgage has been paid off), with a person who is not a relative or married to me. We lived in the home together for 11 year, now he lives and works oversea. He said he will give me the house, what do we need to do for that to happen legally? How do we change the deed?

If the deed is in both names, you simply need a new deed from the two of you to just you.
