Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire

Deed changes after marriage and a name change

I own a mobile home and recently got married. To change my deed to reflect both my name change and that my husband and I are now ''co-owners,'' of the mobile home, what are the proper steps to take? Someone told me I'd need to fill out a ''writ to claim'' form. Is this true and if so, what does that form look like or where can I get a copy? Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you

Go to a lawyer and have a proper mobile home deed drawn up and recorded at the registry of deeds in the county where the home is located. It is a special deed and if you are in a park, you also need the park owner's signature.

It should not cost more than $100.
