If using a piece of property for over 20 years in an overt manner, does the property become yours?

There is more to it than merely "using" the property for more than 20 continuous years. It has to be open, exclusive, known, and adverse to the owner's interest. These are very "fact driven" cases and you should meet with an attorney to review all the information and survey results before taking any action.
