liens

i have a tenant who has stayed in my property well beyond the lease agreement time and refuses to leave...i have started the eviction process, but i would like to attach a lien against property she owns in order to recoup money lost on unpaid rent from her....how do i do this???

Re: liens

You can sue her for back rent only up to $1500 as part of the eviction process.

If you want to put a lien on her other property, you will have to file a separate civil lawsuit. I would not try to do this without having an attorney.
