Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire

neighbor cut my tree down

The property mgr of my neighbors apt bldg cut my 60ft Oak tree down on my apt bldg yard leaving a 20 ft

trunk with no branches, and took the wood. We called the police, said they would go over to talk to them but took off instead.

Talked to a detective friend who said it was a $20,000 fine for every 10 ft of tree you cut down AND may be criminal for theft of the wood. Does this sound right?

'Cause cop took off, don't know name of guy who took it down. Owners know nothing about this. What's left looks terrible. Lost our shade. Owners never asked us to cut back branches. Who's responsible? Owner, property Mgr or both?

Both the owner and the property manager are liable in a civil suit for cutting down your tree. Thr popperty manager, whose identity IS known to the owner, can be held criminally liable for Trespass, Destruction of Property, Larceny, etc. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss the details of your case. 978.250.4255
