Obtaining clean property title

I am attempting to purchase property in New Hampshirewith 3 prior owners with a warranty deeds. Title sesrch shows prior mortage deed for 3rd owners back. A discahrge of the mortage was never filed. Not likely to find owners that far back.What must be done to obtain clear title.

In order to answer your question it will require a review of the title records and a determination as to the age of the mortgage and whether or not it is an institutional mortgage. If a discharge truly can not be obtained, then you would need to file a Petition to Quiet Title with the court and obtain judicial relief. I suggest that it would be worthwhile to hire an attorney to review the matter in greater detail.
