Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire
partition hearing
Hello:
If a joint tenancy situation becomes a situation where two/three owners want to sell, how long would it take for a partition hearing, estimated cost, etc? What does that type of hearing or lawsuit entail? THANKS

Re: partition hearing
Partition actions can be fast-tracked since the issues are relatively straight-forward. The fighting, as it is, begins with properly valuing the property and assessing/accepting offers to purchase. Cost depends on how much the parties fight over the valuation or proof of ownership interests.
