Rent increase during a lease term
If you have a one year lease with a landlord, and there is no mention in the lease about raising the rent during the lease term. Can the Landlord raise the rent in the middle of the lease?

Re: Rent increase during a lease term
Generally, the landlord cannot raise tyour rent during the term of the lease. The purpose of a lease is to guarantee the landlord has someone who will pay a set rent for a set period of time; the advantage to you is that you have a place to live at a set rent.
