Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New Hampshire
Sugar Maple Tree
We contracted a local Tree Company (insured) to removed two Rotted Pine trees from our property, but they also removed a healthy 50+Foot Sugar Maple Tree. We have continually contacted the tree company about their mistake, but we cannot seem to get a response back from them on how we can rectify this. In doing some research and talking with some certified Arborists they suggest that we should except nothing less than a replacement of the tree as close as possible to the size they took down.
We are wondering what recourse do we have in getting the tree company to replace the mature maple, we can't get them on the phone, so we have no way of finding out who their insurance company is. We are not looking for any monetary compensation, just the tree back.
What would our next step be? Thanks

Re: Sugar Maple Tree
This is a common problem. The company needs to be informed of your claim in writing and a request that they notify their insurance company.
If they do not respond, it looks like you have to file a lawsuit.
