Taking over of property

At present my uncle owns the home my parents lived in .My father passed away and my mother is in a nursing home never to come out.My uncle wishes to give the home to my daughter,he is curious as to whether he should have a token payment at the time of transfer or if he can simply hand the property over.He is elderly and not well but wishes to take care of maters before his death.
