It is frequently the case that attorneys in smaller firms will have experience with not only probate, but real estate, small business, and other matters which come into play in resolving a decedent's affairs. For multi-state estates, they can act to make sure that ancillary administration of a decedent's out-of-state property is appropriately taken care of by out-of-state counsel.
