Re: Estate settlement

Generally, an experience probate attorney should be able to assist you. Down the road in Peterborough, you might try Mark Fernald, of Fernald Taft Falby & Little, a former classmate at Amherst.

I practice out of Concord NH and Wellesley MA, so I'm a little farther afield, but I also practice trusts & estates, and help people wrap up affairs of various intricacy. It is frequently the case that attorneys in smaller firms will have experience with not only probate, but real estate, small business, and other matters which come into play in resolving a decedent's affairs. For multi-state estates, they can act to make sure that ancillary administration of a decedent's out-of-state property is appropriately taken care of by out-of-state counsel.
