No Will
Mother recently deceased. No Will. I f I file in Probate Court to become executer of her Bank Account,will I then be responsible for paying off all of her dept?

You will be responsible for paying her debts from her assets. If the assets are not sufficient, you will not be required to make payments from your own funds. You will not be appointed as executor of her bank account, but of her entire estate. Therefore, be sure to have a full understanding of exactly what assets are subject to control of the Probate Court before you start. In most cases it is worthwhile to meet with an attorney.
