Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey

Can I add my divorce atty in my bankruptcy

Hi, I still owe 10,000 to my divorce atty after paying close to 20,000 already, for a divorce where no assets, no home, et cet. Just debts were involved and a lot of bs on my ex's part.

I am just about destitute because of it. I am filing bankruptcy to get rid of credit cards that I cannot afford to pay and a Trailblazer that I was silly enough to put under my name and now I am stuck with a $700 payment that I can't afford and no one wants it.

Anyway -- went off a little there ---

I feel for what I got out of divorce, close to 20,000 is enough. When I got the remaining bill, I almost stroked out. I cannot afford to give him another ten. Can I add him into my bankruptcy?

The short answer yes because when you file a bankruptcy petition, you are required to list all of your assets and all of your liabilities. You can not exclude selective debts from the bankruptcy.
