Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey
If my birth father passed away and didn't have a will, am I entitled to anything? I don't live with him, my parents never married, and he is not listed anywhere as my birth father, but everyone knows that I am his son.

As long as you can establish that he is your father, and if he had no will, you would be entitled to a part of his estate, or all of his estate if he was unmarried and had no other children.
Keep in mind that this answer is given based on the scanty information you have provided. My answer may change based on other information. Further, you cannot rely on this answer since you have not retained me as your attorney. To be sure that you have accurate information and direction, you should consult with an attorney. Good luck. I agree with Bob, as long as you csan reliably establish her was your legal birth father.
