Legal Question in Personal Injury in New Jersey

If someone hit my car in an accident and I'm not at fault am I able to get expenses paid by going directly to his insurance without even notifying mine about the accident? Also can I get anything from his insurance for neck pain after the accident without a lawyer?

Thank you for your inquiry. Typically, if your expenses were paid out-of-pocket, you would file for reimbursement through your insurance carrier. However, if the accident is deemed to not be your fault, your insurance carrier would subrogate or seek reimbursement of those sums they pay from the other party's insurance carrier. As for your neck injury: If other than minor muscle strain, please feel free to contact this firm to discuss your potential for a claim, and we will assist you in whatever way we can. (973)635-5400
