fired from job while on disability

what are the laws on terminating someone on disability in nj...they said they couldnt hold my job for me but if i reapply theyll try to find me something is that legal?

Your question indicates that you were hurt on the job or you are out sick due to a serous illness. Accordingly, based on your question, yes, you can be terminated because you are unable to work. You cannot be fired for filing for disability insurance.
