Legal Question in Disability Law in New Jersey

Terminated while on STD / LTD

What are the legal steps an employer must take to do this.

I received no notice other then a FedEx pkg telling me that my position has been terminated. This happened 2 days after I informed my boss that the doctor has extened my disability time and now I would need change my status from STD to LTD.

Also I was never asked or offered any information on FMLA or any other type of leave.

The pkg also indicated that all my bennies would be valid untill the end of the month. Well I just found out that my suplimental disability that I pay for was termed on the 1st.
