Legal Question in Administrative Law in New Jersey

Change name

I have been given a first name by my grandmother which is too long and difficult to pronounce. The name however appears on my passport and social sec. card, tax return and some other legal document. I would like to officially change it. What's the proper way. Please advise. Thanks.

You have to go through the courts and file a motion. I suggest you get an attorney as it will make it much easier on you.
