Legal Question in Administrative Law in New Jersey

Hi,

My Mom is currently is a home owner (her primary residence). Few years back she started recieving SSI and other social service benefits.

My question is what will happen to her house after her death? Will the state take over because she is recieving SSI benefits even when she have children to inherent the house.

No, the house will not go to the government just because she receives Social Security.

Your mother should plan this out, with the assistance of an attorney. She may want to change the Deed to the house. She definitely needs a Last Will And Testament.
