Legal Question in Banking Law in New Jersey
how can I get the bank account number of my deceased spouse? the bank is not cooperating and is stonewalling. they said if I want information I should sue them. is there any way to recover a bank account number? please help.

If you were the beneficiary on the account there would be no problem. Therefore, by the bank's actions you have no right to the account. You can access the account as administrator of the estate if you were granted "letters of administration" from a court of law.
