Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey
Back-pay on company
Hi,
My father recently closed and bakrupted his company. He owes back-wages on all of his employees at the time (we were 1099) - approximately a few thousand for each one.
He paid me off before he closed the company because I am his son. The total was $6000, but he didn't pay anyone else off.
I am nervous he is going to have to pay this back or get in trouble for it??
What could happen?
Thanks.
