Re: bankruptcy
You (or your bankruptcy attorney) should contact the creditor's attorney and demand that they immediately instruct the sheriff or court officer to inform the bank to release the levy. If the creditor's attorney is unaware that you filed, be prepared to show them your Notice of Commencement and copy of Schedule F listing the creditor. To avoid any delay, you may also want to contact the sheriff or court officer directly (whichever one served the levy) and demand that they immediately tell the bank to release the levy. Specifically ask them to fax the release letter to the bank's levy department immediately so that this is taken care of without delay. Then call back half an hour later to make sure they actually did it, and keep calling as necessary until they do so.
