Re: bankruptsy
From the moment you file for bankruptcy relief, an "automatic stay" goes into effect which prevents most creditors from starting or continuing any action against you to collect a debt. If you fall behind on your regular mortgage payments, the lender must ask the bankruptcy court for permission if they want to commence or resume foreclosure proceedings. To do so, they file a motion called "motion for relief from automatic stay." Feel free to call me for assistance if you'd like.
