Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey
Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
My wife and I recently filed a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. When we filed our attorney submitted a plan with a $138 per month repayment. The plan was confirmed but with a $299 per month payment. Since then we have lost $2800 a month in income. Is there any provisions in the bankruptcy law that permits a reduction in the monthly payment due to circumstances like this

Re: Chapter 13 Bankruptcy
You and your attorney should discuss filing a modified plan. The court then decides if the modified plan should be confirmed.
