Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New Jersey
harasment after bankruptcy
after my wife and I seperated, I filed for bankruptcy. All the debt was descharged. One account that was joyned was descharged as well. How ever the colector is still colling and sending letters to my wife requesting her to pay. Can he do this?

Yes. Your bankruptcy discharged your debt. It did not discharge her debt. Since the responsibility for the debt was joint, the collector can go after her assets to satisfy the debt.
You have discovered yet another reason why married people should have separate credit card accounts if both spouses can get credit.
