Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Copyright Laws and Logos

I would like to start a business and I would need to use College and professional sports logos...etc . What needs to be done since they are copyrighted? Would this be very costly?

You will need permission from each entity whose logo you want to use. They would license you to use them, but you will probably have to pay some licensing fees. For most professional sports, you may have to go through the league (NBA, NHL, etc.) rather than deal with the individual teams. Using the logos without permission will probably result in a suit against you and damages.
