Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Can i do cover songs without a license? For example i'm going to sing some parts of a song but the original singer is going to sing the rest.. and no i'm not getting any type of payment. So do i still have to get a license?

Normally, publicly performing "cover tunes" will require a license. In most cases, the venue will have or obtain the license. So, unless your performance is limited to singing in the shower, it would be prudent to get legal advice.
