Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

credit card charges

A company used information from a one time authorization form and made additional charges without my consent, is this legal? Note charges were not made for any amounts the company was owed or entitled to.

No it is not legal.

Re: credit card charges

I would suggest disputing the charges with your credit card company. At that point, the company will need submit some proof of the validity of the charges. If they fail to do this, your credit card company should reverse the charges.

Depending on the circumstances, you could also talk to the company in question and request that they reverse the charges, but definitely file a dispute with the credit card company.
