Re: Enforcing Cancellation Fees
It is difficult to answer your question without more information and without knowing what type of business you have. If you had to take the customer to court for a cancellation fee you probably would be wasting your time and money. Enforcing it is simply collecting the money from the customer when they come in for their next appointment. You are better off starting from scratch from now on and make sure your clients are aware of your policiy in writing and even have them sign an acknlowedgment that they will pay a cancellation fee if the appointment is not kept. Collecting the cancellation fee may be difficult, though. And, you may lose current and prospective customers if you charge these fees.
