Gifts vs Contracts
If a person in a romanic relationship pays for certain things including legal help for the other without stating or writing that the money provided is a loan, is it considered a gift or a contract?

In most instances these payments are considered a gift, but you can always try to get the recipient to sign a promissory note. Asking for one may end the relationship.
