Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey
I hired a collection agency to collect a debt on my behalf. I was one of about 600 creditors.
According to our contract they were to make an inertial purchase of 0.01% of the debt, they would also get 1/3 of the proceeds collected and an extra 15% would be added if lawyers were needed. I looked through my records and they never made the initial purchase. Is this contract valid?

The arrangement seems a bit odd. If you can get a copy of the offer to me, I will look it over and be in a better position to advise you.

I do not understand the contract, and I would need to read it over before I can comment.
let me know if you want me to take a look at this for you.
