Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey

Lack of Privity

If person A pays person B to buy a product from company A. Then Person B deliveres the product in working condition to person A and then two months later there is a defect in the product, is person B responsible for compensation or repair understanding that there is a warranty from Company A?

Please note there was a verbal contract for Person B to purchase for Person A not to provide additional service after the product was delievered.

Re: Lack of Privity

If the contract was solely for B to act as a purchasing agent for A, with no further responsibilities (such as responsibility to see the product was in good working order at the time of delivery and/or not to maintain it thereafter) the warranty from the supplier should be all that A can look to for defects.
