Lawyer Referral Business

I want to start my own lawyer referral service, and I just wanted to know if it is illegal to have a lawyer referral service as a home business. That's all I need to know.

Should not be a problem, but you may have a credibility problem and you will be going up against the bar association referral service.

I assume you mean as a for profit business. You can form any home based business you want, BUT if you are expecting to have attys pay you for referrals, forget it. If you are not an atty, you can not get a referral fee. Other ways to seek compensation may be available.
