But, you should also know, by doing what you plan to do, you'll be starting a business! It would be prudent to check zoning regulations is you plan to operate the business form your home. It would also be prudent to cosider things like (1) structing and regidtereing the business properly (e.g., sole proprietorship, LLC, etc.), (2) having a "form" written services agreement you can use with your customers, (3) determining whether a business licensse is needed (4) exploring insurance options..... and more. Next, contact your city hall for information on obtaining a business license. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
