Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey
Our mission is to ensure our future, by preserving our past. We have targeted a National Historic Landmark in NJ, as the restoration site and future home of a green bed and breakfast.
Is it possible to establish a nonprofit to historically acquire & restore the property, and a for-profit company to run the B&B?

The general answer to your question is yes, but it needs to be done carefully to foolow all requirements of the non profit laws. Although my firm does not specialize in not for profit law, we do work closel\y with another attorney who handles this area exclusively, while we work on the business and real estate ends. Please contact me at 732-663-1500 to discuss this matter further.
Thank you.
