Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey
private fundraising regulations
Where can I find information regarding the regulations governing private (for profit) fundraising companies? Specifically, I would like to access information detailing how much money a private fundraising co. may keep for itself, and how much money they are required to give to the organization they are raising money for? There seems to be a lack of info on this subject (at least on the sites I have visited thus far). Thank you for your time.

Re: private fundraising regulations
Check the IRS regulations at their website. This is usally by code section or subject matter. Any undistributed income will be taxed to your entity. You can expense funds to cover ordinary and necessary business expenses that are traditionally deductible, but not any funds received and designated to go to the tax-exempt you are servicing.
