Legal Question in Business Law in New Jersey
rip of by employer
My husband has been employed by the Internet based company to provide on-line tutoring. In accordance to the written contract that he signed, he has been providing tutoring services on-line in a scheduled hours. The schedule was supplied by the company on monthly basis. He has not been paid for the period of 5 months for the service that he provided. We can not contact them since contact phones and e-mail address of the company no longer work. This company is incorporated in Delaware. It recently went public. What can we do in order to get paid?
Thank you.

Re: rip of by employer
1. Stop performing any work for them. That should get their attention.
2. When numbers are not answered that is a bad sign.
3.Check online for the Registration Statement file with the SEC (free Edgar) and try to get contact information.
4. File a claim with your state Dept of Labor.
