Security Equipment purchased from NY Vendor
Our Business purchased 4 Security Camras with 2 DVR with 2Yr on site warranty. We paid $2568.00 by check. Later we found that Camra are non-branded W/O any name and they did not provide us with any software or litrature so that we can watch our business locations from aremte location.
We hav easked them for a if you canot provide with origional software refund. They are not responding. What action can we take to get our money back. Where can we file the merchant complaint as he is in NY state and we are in NJ state

The company is obligated to do what was promised in the contract with you. If they have not done that, you have a good cause of action against them and your best option may be to sue. If the contract did not specify the brand of camera or that they should provide remote monitoring software, they you can't compel them to provide them now. There might be an exception if their advertising or the usual custom in the trade would have raised expectations on your part.
